The current default list of file types (Type List in Settings) in nDroid is as below:
exe|lnk|ahk|au3|url|mp3|doc|xls
(The list is delimited by the pipe ‘|’ character)

You can extend the search domain by bringing more file types to the index. Here’re some examples:
Documents/Work Files
doc|123|csv|pps|ppt|xls|pdf

Music/Playlists
mp3|ogg|wma|aac|aif|ra|ram|m3u|mid|midi|mpa|wav

Videos/Movies
avi|mpg|divx|wmv|3gp|asf|asx|mp4|qt|rm|swf

Images/Pictures
bmp|gif|jpeg|jpg|pct|png|ps|psd|psp|svg|tif|ico

Archives/Compressed Files
rar|zip|gz|gzip|cab

Scripts/Batch Files
bat|mscr|ahk|au3|cmd
